"Ok boys show me your stuff" | That was how Dolores O'Riodan introduced herself to the Cranberriesin 1990. At the time, Noel and Mike Hogan(guitar and bass)and Feargal(Drums)had been looking for a lead singerfor their band but this small frail girl standing in front of themjust didnt fit the part. Noel played some chords that he had been messing around with and Dolores went home and wrote some lyrics for them. She came back the next day with a song called Linger. They Gave her the job. Hailing from London,the gronge rock band Bushwas formed by singer/songwriter Gavin Rossdale, guitarist Nigel Pulsford | bassist Dave Parsons ,and drummer Robin Goodridge, All veterans of other british bands. After gigging around the U.K. the band signed to the then-unknown American label Trauma Records; their 1994 debut album Sixteen Stone became a surprise hit in the U.S. thanks to the MTV buzz bin single "Everything Zen," whose Eddie Vedder-style vocals and Nirvana-esque guitars won over legions of young fans. After over a year of touring and four more singles, including the No. 1 "Glycerine," the album broke into the Top 10, eventually selling more than seven million copies.
